How to change your Display Name

Your WhatsApp Business display name links your business name to your phone number. For official business accounts, this name is visible to customers. Once approved, you can modify it in the WhatsApp settings.

The process for changing your display name varies based on whether you have an Official Business Account (OBA):

  • If you have an Official Business Account, please contact our support team.

  • If you do not have an Official Business Account, please continue reading.

To update your display name in WhatsApp Manager, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to your Business Manager and select your business. Then, click on the menu button.

  1. Click on 'WhatsApp Manager.'

  2. Choose the account for which you want to change the display name and select 'WhatsApp Manager' again.

  1. Click the blue link and choose the phone number for which you want to update the display name.

  1. In the Name column, hover over your current display name and click the edit icon to update.

  2. In the Edit Display Name section, type in a new display/fill name. Ensure the name is related to your business and aligns with the branding on external platforms like your website.

  3. Click "Next" to proceed.

WhatsApp must approve your display name before an updated certificate can be issued. Once approved, please inform us so we can set up the new channel and update the certificate.

Your business is allowed to change its display names up to four times every 30 days. After the end of each 30-day period, the count resets, allowing you to make up to four more changes in the next 30-day cycle.
